Double the Good Challenge

Every gift goes further. Help us raise $50,000 to feed more Floridians, with gifts matched up to $25,000 by our co-founders.

Hunger is a logistics problem and Tamiami is a proven logistic solution.

Right now, we are raising $50,000 to feed more Floridians.  Times are tough for families due to rising costs for groceries, rent, gas, insurance.  Your gift will be matched by our co-founders, Tom and Laura Fernandez, up to $25,000.  These unrestricted funds will help us, for example, hire part time staff to compliment our pro-bono team and put diesel in our van.

We have rescued over 70,000 pounds of good food and taken it directly to neighbors in need.  Your gift helps Florida families.

The Smart Solution to a Persistent Problem

Tamiami Food Rescue takes a volunteer and technology-driven approach to rescuing fresh, desirable food in the great state of Florida. Our volunteers, we call them Food Rescue Heroes, deliver food donated by donors like grocery stores, restaurants, event venues, and school and corporate cafeterias to the agencies battling food insecurity in our community.

Diverting food from landfills just makes sense for everyone.
